Hello Blog!
For my first blog post I thought I would share a few of my all time favorite photos from the time I have spent being a professional photographer. Being highly critical of myself and my work it is an amazing feeling to capture a photo that I am truly proud of. This first photo is definitely one of those.

The threat of rain was heavy on all of our minds when we arrived at this beautiful destination wedding in the Tennessee mountains. After rushing to get some bridal portraits out of the way before it started pouring we realized the clouds were lifting and some sun was starting to peek through the clouds. In the blink of an eye this rainbow appeared. We were all amazed and I immediately started snapping photos before it was too late.
It was a magical moment that I will never forget.
Shawna and Jason in Georgia
This next photo has all my favorite things. The light is just so beautiful. The weather was amazing, especially for October. I love it when everything comes together and when the photo I see on the back of my camera in that moment captures everything I’m seeing and feeling around me but even more beautifully. The lovely lady in this photo is Shawna. We go way back to our college days. I wouldn’t be the photographer I am today if she wasn’t by my side.
Black and White photos will always have a special place in my heart. (As will the Angel in this photo)
Kira and Nick in North Carolina
I had the pleasure of traveling to Boone, NC for this lovely couples wedding. So many beautiful moments were shared that day. This is one of my favorites. As much fun as weddings are, I know they can be stressful for the bride and groom. This was moments after they both said “I do.” If the schedule allows, I like to steal them away from all the commotion after the ceremony and let them just be. That’s usually when the magic happens. I love the light, the colors, and the authenticity of this photograph. They look so in love. Moments like these are what I’m looking for.
These are just a few of my favorites from over the years. I plan on posting regularly to this blog so that clients may get to know me a little bit more than just through my photos and so that I can show what I’m all about as a photographer. See you soon!
